In the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on the night of January 6-7, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will perform the Christmas service. This was reported on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC).

At the same time, it will be possible to get to the service only by invitation. Who issues them and to whom is not specified. The ROC notes that such a measure is being introduced in connection with the need to comply with measures to counter the spread of coronavirus and in order to protect pensioners and people with chronic diseases.

Russians will be able to watch the live broadcast of the Patriarchal Divine Service on the TV channels "First", "Russia 1", "Spas", as well as on the official portal of the Russian Orthodox Church. It will start at 23:00 Moscow time.
