Over 260 Ukrainian marines surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces in Mariupol, said the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, calling this decision "the right election."

- Two hundred and sixty-seven marines from the 503rd battalion (assigned to the 36th Marine Corps) today (Monday - ed.) in Mariupol surrendered to the Russian armed forces. This is a very correct and informed choice! - the head of Chechnya wrote in his Telegram channel.

He pointed out that now the soldiers who have surrendered are "in complete safety", and their relatives no longer need to worry about them. He also addressed all the Ukrainian military, who are now "in thought", emphasizing that the Russian army is not at war with the civilian population. Kadyrov urged them to switch to the “right side” in order to “put things in order in the country for the sake of the peaceful life of the long-suffering people” together with the Russian military.
