In six months the volume of inbound tourism in Russia fell by 83.6%

Such data are provided by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), referring to the data of the border service of the FSB.

ATOR indicates that in the period January-March, about 5.5 million foreigners arrived in the country for various purposes. In April-June - only 500 thousand.

Under the ban, 143 thousand citizens of Kazakhstan arrived in the Russian Federation (mainly by car), citizens of Ukraine - 123 thousand (also by car), the Philippines - 34 thousand (mainly by water transport), Uzbekistan - 23 thousand (by car).

Most of the foreigners arriving in the Russian Federation are referred to as "service personnel", while the rest go to the country on private or business visits.

Let us recall that from the closure of the borders, Russia has lost 500 billion rubles of "tourist income".

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Federation has increased the number of border checkpoints through which entry with an electronic visa is possible.
