Virologist stated that it's possible to contract coronavirus without leaving home

According to a specialist, coronavirus, once ingested through food, will develop like an E.coli.

“Just in case, you need to use boiled water, wash fruits, vegetables, and heat-treat foods — this is the usual protection for preventing intestinal infections”, - Alstein explained in an interview with Channel Five.

But the risk of such infection is low, the virologist noted. And in order not to catch the disease from potentially infected, it is necessary, he noted, to observe a number of rules.

“You need to use masks, wash your hands regularly and try to distance yourself as much as possible, that means to be at least two meters away from the other person”, - warned Alstein, recalling that you also need to wipe the surfaces of objects on which particles of the virus can settle.

You cannot get coronavirus from meat, because the virus is transmitted primarily by mouth. But getting COVID-19 from an unwashed apple is quite possible, and therefore fruits and vegetables must be washed thoroughly.
