People with certain gene mutations cannot get the coronavirus. According to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor, some changes in genes can make it easier or more difficult for infection to enter cells.

Recently, the United States published the results of a study that indicate that people who have had a seasonal acute respiratory viral infection have a chance to become immune to various types of coronaviruses, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19. So far, scientists do not have data on how long and effective this type of immunity can be.

Earlier, Russian scientists urged residents not to rely on chance and "not to play roulette" with the coronavirus, but to think about getting vaccinated, which will give more reliable protection against coronavirus.

Currently, Russia has already registered one vaccine against COVID-19 and two more are being prepared for registration. The registration of the second drug is scheduled for October 15.

However, as shown by public opinion polls, the level of trust in new drugs is still low. Most people in the country are skeptical about vaccinations. No more than 20% of Russians agree to be vaccinated voluntarily.
