According to Kommersant with reference to the Kremlin press service, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree “On Amending the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of September 24, 2022 No. 664 “On Granting a Deferment from Conscription for Military Service for Mobilization”.
The decree guarantees a deferment from conscription for military service for mobilization of citizens who receive an education of the appropriate level for the first time, who study full-time and part-time forms of education.
It affects students of universities, colleges, as well as students in residency programs and assistantship-internship programs in educational and scientific organizations that have state accreditation.
Mobilization also does not apply to graduate students who are studying under the training programs for scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel both in graduate school and in residency and in the territories of innovative scientific and technological centers.
A deferment is also granted to students of theological academies, ministers and religious personnel of religious organizations undergoing training.
The benefit affects the training of clergy in educational programs of secondary vocational and higher education.
The day before, during a meeting with laureates and finalists of the All-Russian Teacher of the Year competition, Putin said that additional categories of students were included in the decree on exemption from mobilization. According to the decree, graduate students will not be subject to mobilization .
Earlier it became known that the lists of those mobilized will not include full-time and part-time students of Russian universities and colleges who receive their first education.
On the eve it was reported that due to the confusion with the documents in Russia, they began to call on students from colleges and technical schools who are studying full-time. After a series of complaints from mobilized full-time students, the authorities had to be returned from the army.
