In Russia, the daily number of cases of coronavirus is growing. Over the past day, a new disease was confirmed in another 5.1 thousand people. The disease was detected in 84 regions of the country. The daily number of cases for the fourth day in a row exceeds five thousand.

The number of coronavirus cases in Russia continued to decline since May 11, when 11.6 thousand cases were detected throughout the country per day. At the end of August, the number of new cases of infection dropped below 4.8 thousand people, but from September 2, it began to grow again. To date, the total number of cases in Russia has exceeded one million. Most of them - about 843.2 thousand patients - managed to recover. 17.8 thousand people died from complications.

Russia still remains in fourth place in the world in terms of the number of cases detected. In terms of the number of deaths from complications, the country is in 12th place in the world. The three countries with the largest number of cases are the United States, where 6.4 million people have already fallen ill since the beginning of the epidemic, India, where the disease was confirmed in 4.2 million local residents, and Brazil, where 4.1 million people were diagnosed with coronavirus. Over the past day in Brazil, a new disease was confirmed in another 14.6 thousand Brazilians.

Earlier it was noted that the French authorities are concerned about the spread of the epidemic. On Friday, about 8.9 thousand people fell ill with the new virus. This is almost 1.5 thousand people more than were infected during the day during the first wave of the epidemic. The authorities are not yet ready to reintroduce strict restrictions, fearing for the country's economy, but will increase the number of tests.
