According to the Department of Internal Policy of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region (JAR), the surgical department of the regional hospital was left without doctors - three surgeons resigned at once, including the head of the department.

“As for the simultaneous resignation of three surgeons, it has objective reasons. For one specialist, the dismissal is associated with moving to another region, for the second - with retirement. The third doctor on the same day moved to a permanent job at the coronavirus hospital”, - says the website of the authorities of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

Kommersant reports that by the order of the chief sanitary doctor dated November 4, the department was closed for quarantine due to the coronavirus.

Reception of patients by the department has been temporarily suspended, and surgeons in need of help are sent to the neighboring Khabarovsk Territory. Chief physician Yelena Storozhenko reports that patients who were admitted to the department earlier will be treated in the regional hospital. According to her, they are provided with medical care by doctors of the corresponding specialization from other departments.

The government of the Jewish Autonomous Region has agreed with the Ministry of Health of the Khabarovsk Territory on the routing of patients in need of emergency surgical care. Transportation will be carried out by the territorial center of disaster medicine, and in urgent need - by air ambulance.

In the Jewish Autonomous Region, 10,789 cases of coronavirus were detected, 351 people died. Over the past day, 38 new cases of infection have been detected.

A month ago it became known that in the Jewish Autonomous Region there is a growing number of doctors who refused to be vaccinated and quit.
