Yesterday, on the Change.org platform, politician Ilya Yashin published a petition demanding the dismissal of Ramzan Kadyrov from the post of head of the Chechen Republic. During the day, 100 thousand signatures were collected.

In the petition "Kadyrov - resign!" it is said that the head of Chechnya has created a "separate state within the Russian Federation" with its own rules, where the laws of the Russian Federation do not actually have force. It is noted that the republic has created its own army, completely loyal to Kadyrov.

“Kadyrov, his inner circle, local officials make public threats against journalists, human rights activists, judges and members of their families. In their rhetoric, they appeal to the concept of "blood feud" and promise to cut off the heads of their opponents”, - the petition says.

In addition, it is noted that over the 15 years of his tenure as head of the republic, Kadyrov was unable to solve the economic problems of the region and openly admits this.

“It is obvious that Ramzan Kadyrov does not correspond to his position and cannot be a civil servant. We demand that the President of Russia sign a decree dismissing him from the post of head of the Chechen Republic”, - the author of the petition, supported by more than 100,000 people, demands.

The Kremlin responded to the petition for Kadyrov's resignation yesterday. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the collection of signatures is impersonal, so bots can cheat the results. Thus, the Kremlin does not intend to seriously consider the petition.
