Families with children under three years old will receive five thousand rubles from April to June

The decree "On additional measures of social support for families with children" is published on the Kremlin website.

- Make monthly payments in the amount of 5,000 rubles in April – June 2020 to persons living in the Russian Federation and having (had) the right to state support measures provided that they had such a right before July 1, 2020, - it is said in the document.

These payments will be charged for each child under the age of three who is a citizen of Russia. When providing other social support measures, they will not be taken into account in family income. It will be possible to apply for payments until October 1.

Funds are allocated by the government of the country; the Pension Fund of Russia has been instructed to ensure payment. The decree was signed by the president on April 7 and entered into force on the same day.

We've to recall that according to the list of instructions for the President’s appeal, from June 1, the government and regions will have to make monthly payments for children aged three to seven years old inclusively to those families whose income does not exceed one living wage per person.

In addition, Vladimir Putin instructed the government to consider establishing by 2024 payments to low-income families at the birth of a third and subsequent children before the child reaches the age of three.

Earlier, the president signed a federal law simplifying the procedure for obtaining social protection and support measures for low-income families with children.
