A large outbreak of coronavirus was detected in the Children's House in Kamchatka

This was reported by Kommersant, citing the regional Ministry of Health. The regional government confirmed the outbreak.

- According to my information, 24 people were infected. In most of them, coronavirus is asymptomatic. There are 59 children under three in the Orphanage. The institution has 115 employees.

Earlier, the regional government reported that due to the lack of beds for treating patients with coronavirus, the largest sanatorium in the region, the Kamchatka Pearl, will be converted into a hospital.

Today, with 406 beds, 423 patients are in hospitals. Seals were carried out in medical facilities, beds were put into corridors and other rooms.

1168 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the region. 119 of them are children. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the region, 43 people have died from a new coronavirus infection.

An outbreak of coronavirus in the Oryol Orphanage was previously reported. Nine children were hospitalized there.
