In relation to Andrei Pivovarov, the former executive director of the "Open Russia" movement (included by the Prosecutor General's Office in the list of undesirable in the Russian Federation), an administrative case was initiated on the inclusion of the organization in the list of foreign agents.

This time we are talking about the non-profit organization "Open Petersburg" (included in the register of non-profit foreign agents).

As reported in social networks of the discontinued "Open Russia", the organization "Open Petersburg" Pivovarov established several years ago "for educational activities".

An administrative case under the article on the implementation of the activities of an NPO performing the functions of a foreign agent, not included in the register of NPOs performing the functions of a foreign agent, was received on June 2 in the Vasileostrovsky Court of St. Petersburg. The punishment under this article can be a fine of up to 300 thousand rubles.

It's worth reminding that Pivovarov was arrested on the same day for a period of two months in the case of the activities of an undesirable organization. Under this article, he can receive six years in prison. The European Union demanded the immediate release of the arrested person, and the law "On Undesirable Organizations" should be abolished altogether. The human rights organization Amnesty International also demanded to release Pivovarov.

On May 31, Pivovarov was removed from a plane taking off from Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg. The airliner was deployed from the runway to detain the ex-director of Open Russia.
