FNPR (Federation of Independent Labor Unions) chairman Shmakov sent a letter to President Putin in which he asks to intervene in the situation with the indexation of pensions for working pensioners, since the country's government did not approve any of the bills on this issue, nor did it offer its own version.

Shmakov is sure that the constant delay in the execution of the president's instructions regarding the resumption of the indexation of pensions prevents the improvement of the financial situation of a large number of Russian pensioners. In his letter, Shmakov writes:

“The Federation of Independent Labor Unions of Russia is concerned about the delay in fulfilling your instructions on the indexation of pensions for working pensioners. The Russian government has not yet approved any of the bills prepared by the deputies, but at the same time has not submitted its own version to discuss proposals on this issue.

The prolonged pause restrains the solution of the issue of changing the financial situation of many thousands of pensioners.

Today, the situation with poverty in the country can be changed, since the main part of this category is made up of pensioners. For this, from our point of view, it is necessary to eliminate the injustice committed, return the unpaid amounts, restore indexation and fair formation of pension rights, eliminating the limitation on points for working pensioners.

FNPR asks you to intervene in this situation. We express our confidence that a correct and fair solution will be found in this complex and confusing issue, measures have been identified that will not only correct the current situation, but will also consistently improve the life of pensioners in the country".
