According to the decree of Anna Popova, the chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation, sanitary and epidemiological rules for educational organizations and other social infrastructure facilities for children and youth are extended until January 1, 2022.

The corresponding document is published on the website of legal information. The ban does not affect organizations of professional and higher education, as well as organizations of additional education and leisure organizations. Measures introduced to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Until the end of 2021, it will be prohibited to hold mass events in schools, sports organizations, specialized institutions for minors, organizations of temporary leisure for children in premises (in buildings of shopping centers, airports, railway stations).

For these organizations, including schools and kindergartens, the mandatory rules include temperature measurement, regular cleaning and airing of premises, isolation of some groups of children from others.

In addition, when drawing up the schedule, the need to minimize the contacts of children will be taken into account, and each class will have its own office.

Now in some regions schools have been transferred to remote work. So, in Moscow, schoolchildren of grades 6-11 have been studying remotely since October 19. According to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, today 275 thousand schoolchildren remain on distance learning. First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Glushko informed that 56% of students in Russian schools remain in full-time education.
