Demand for credit cards doubled

As stated in the study of the Sravni.ru marketplace, the results of which are cited by TASS, most applications for credit cards were filed in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Samara.

According to the head of the service's analytics department, Roman Romanchuk, the trend is associated with increased inflationary expectations.

It is noted that citizens aged 55 years and older are the least interested in credit cards.

At the same time, at the end of last year, Russians had a record number of credit cards in their hands. So, in October 2021, citizens ordered one million more credit cards than a year earlier. At the same time, the debt of Russians on credit cards also increased - in October it amounted to 1.2 trillion rubles.
