This was reported by TASS, citing a source in law enforcement.
“About 12 people who violated the regime of self-isolation and social distance were detained on Pushkinskaya Square,” the agency’s interlocutor said, adding that all the detainees are participants in the Communist Party rally.
However, “Red Moscow” writes that the festive procession was held in compliance with social distance.
“First, they detained municipal deputies and assistants, then everyone, even deputies of the Moscow City Duma, turned out to be in a police station,” the article authors specify.
Among the detainees are Moscow City Duma deputies Nikolai Zubrilin, Pavel Tarasov, Oleg Sheremetyev, Viktor Maksimov.
The assistant to the State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin, Kirill Okhapkin, posted a video from autorun on his Facebook page. Rashkin himself, as the newspaper writes, was not detained.
Now the issue of bringing the people to administrative responsibility is being decided.
Recall that for non-compliance with the self-isolation regime imposed in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection, a fine of 4 thousand rubles is threatened in the Russian capital. All citizens traveling around the city must present special digital passes. Restrictions apply until May 31.
In Moscow, a record number of COVID-19 cases were detected per day - 12,779. This is almost twice as much as the day before, said Moscow's vice-mayor for social development Anastasia Rakova.
