Oil products were found in the glacial lake Pyasino after the accident at CHPP-3 and the fuel spill near Norilsk.

- Fuel got into Pyasino. This magnificent lake is about 70 kilometers long, of course, there are fish and a good biosphere. But it’s impossible to predict how it will bear this load now. (...) It is important now to prevent his access to the Pyasin River, which further goes north. I think that this will be possible”, - Interfax quotes the words of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss.

Let us recall that Lake Pyasino is a reservoir of glacial origin. It is located 20 km from Norilsk. The surface area is 735 square meters. m. Water and large lakes of the Putorana Plateau (Putorana State Nature Reserve) gather in Pyasino. One river flows from the lake - Pyasina, located on the territory of one of the clusters of the Great Arctic Reserve, and flows into the Kara Sea.

Earlier it was reported that oil products after the accident at CHPP-3 penetrated the soil by at least 2-5 cm. According to the results of the study of the samples, the pollution territory covers the floodplains of the Bezymyanny stream, the Daldykan and Ambarnaya rivers.

Note that four criminal cases were instituted on the spill. At the scene of the accident, more than 700 tons of oil mixture had already been collected, sorbent treated over 14 thousand square meters of polluted coastal zone.
