“Lost the limits of rationality”: Deputies proposed a motion of no confidence in Shaposhnikov

The appeal was signed by Mikhail Tikhonov (Fair Russia), Daria Besedina (Yabloko) and Communist Party representatives Yekaterina Engalycheva, Dmitry Loktev, Evgeny Stupin, Oleg Sheremetyev, Elena Yanchuk, Viktor Maksimov and Sergey Savostyanov.

“We here with a part of the deputies believe that Shaposhnikov completely lost the boundaries of the reasonable, and thus we decided to express the distrust”, - Daria Besedina wrote on her Twitter page.

Mikhail Tikhonov published a video message on YouTube, in which he said that United Russia party Shaposhnikov ignores representatives of opposition factions and "does not hear the voice of his colleagues".

“Instead of constructive discussion and the search for reasonable compromises, there is a pushing of predetermined decisions, accompanied by frank juggling of regulations”, - Tikhonov said.

Moreover, the capital’s parliamentarians are convinced that Shaposhnikov put them at risk of coronavirus infection when he convened a meeting, knowing that some of the deputies were ill. The recent income declaration scandal has become another cause of mistrust.

Let us recall that the last year’s income of 1.9 billion rubles, the head of the Moscow City Duma explained by the sale of 100% of the shares of Severyanin JSC. Before being elected deputy, Shaposhnikov was the chairman of the board of directors of the company.
