The director of the Primorsky Oceanarium in Vladivostok was detained for a bribe of two million rubles

"The institution revealed facts on its own with evidence of possible corruption offenses. After that, the institution asked the law enforcement authorities to conduct an audit. The audit resulted in the detention of Loginov", - the spokeswoman for the oceanarium Yelena Poddubnaya told RIA Novosti.

The Investigative Committee found out that on March 30 Loginov received from the businessman, whose name is not called, through an intermediary two million rubles. The suspect demanded this money for signing acts of acceptance of work performed on the maintenance of life support systems. Loginov received another amount of two million rubles on July 8. Soon they were detained by the FSB.

Against an accomplice, the directors of the aquarium opened a case for mediation in bribery. Investigators found that she offered her services from the director of a commercial enterprise, which was supposed to perform maintenance work on the organization.

The Investigative Committee of Russia explained that two million rubles were a part of a quarterly payment of 10% of the total value of the contract for the maintenance of life support systems. According to the agency, citing a source, in total Loginov wanted to get from the contractor about nine million rubles.

The official demanded 12 million from a representative of a construction contractor for the help in concluding a contract and accepting the work performed. He was detained in the very act.
