Abnormal heat is predicted in Russia - up to 40 degrees

In Moscow, the temperature will set at 27-30 degrees, which is 4-5 degrees above normal. The hottest day is expected to be Monday, August 9th.

In Lipetsk, Tambov, Voronezh, Kursk, Belgorod regions, at least until August 9, the heat will be set at 36-37 degrees, which is 7-8 degrees above normal. In the Krasnodar Territory, Stavropol Territory, Crimea, the air will warm up to 35-38 degrees, in Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia, the temperature will reach 40 degrees.

Temperatures above 35 degrees are also expected in the Samara, Saratov and Orenburg regions and Tatarstan.

Recall that in 2021, heat waves covered the north and east of Europe, Russia and North America. In Canada, the heat rose to 48 degrees, causing nearly 500 deaths.

In some cities, deaths in heat have increased more than 30 times compared to normal days.

The air temperature on July 13 in Moscow warmed up to 32.7 degrees. On this day, the temperature record was broken, which has been held for the past 85 years. The last time such a heat in Moscow was established on July 13, 1936. Then the air temperature warmed up to 32.4 degrees.

This summer, Moscow has already broken several temperature records set in 1917, 1948 and 2013.
