The formation of tornadoes over the sea near Sochi is predicted on August 8 and 9, 2021. This is reported by the city administration.

ClimateThe Regional Center for Hydrometeorology warned of the possibility of tornadoes forming, in particular, in the Magri-Veseloye section. City services are put on high alert. Residents and guests of Sochi are advised to temporarily refuse to rest near the water.
It's worth reminding that in July 2921 a flood occurred in the Krasnodar Territory, in six districts of the Territory an emergency regime had to be introduced. Over 760 houses were flooded in Tuapse region due to bad weather. Equipped beaches were partially destroyed. They were temporarily closed for swimming.
