“If six or seven years ago the phrase “I don’t watch TV” was a pose of the pure water, now it is absolutely true. Absolutely.

I'm not interested there. I'm not interested in searching, I'm not interested in clicking channels.

I'm not interested in waiting for something. Because there, what I need, is not there, or it is very rare. Or at a time when I feel uncomfortable.

I take this method of content delivery out of my life and put it on the back burner.

And I choose the one that is understandable and convenient for me.

I type in what I want - and, pa-baaam! - and here we are watching a film of our wonderful contemporary, an outstanding documentary filmmaker, Valdis Pelsh, that is, me. Because this is what I want to watch now, and not some kind of talk show on some federal channel.

In the matter of content delivery, people have chosen the Internet.

Outside the Moscow Ring Road, and it is better to drive 200 - 300 kilometers away - there the situation has not changed so dramatically, there people still consume a television product, well, out of habit.

Both are good, and the other is good.

Now I, as a person who creates his own product associated with my person, only cares about one thing: how can I deliver information to a potential viewer that, here I am so talented, we have such good films, it would be good for you to watch this so I agree to all sorts of pointless, worthless interviews. Suddenly someone subscribes.

But our situation is probably non-standard and favorable, all our films are released on Channel One, thank you very much for this, I would be very sorry to lose this audience, I am not ready to lose it.

…If we talk about what worries me on television: we, the creators of a certain product for people, often forget that we should try to make the world a better place.

If you're not trying to make the world a better place, why are you doing all this?

I want my films to evoke emotions in people, so that people become kinder, more attentive, and pay attention to environmental problems.
