A third of Russians want to meet the amount of one to three thousand rubles, choosing a gift for the New Year for a child. 6% are going to spend up to a thousand rubles. 61% said they were ready to pay up to three thousand rubles for a New Year's gift for a child. In 2020, this answer was given by 58% of respondents.

The poll, the result of which is quoted by RIA Novosti, was conducted by Raiffeisenbank analysts.

81% of survey participants believe they know what kind of gift their children want. 48% of children are waiting for toys, 46% of parents will give them. In second place are sweets - 37% of parents will give them (last year the figure was 36%) and gadgets - 34% (previously it was 31% ). And last year 51% of children were waiting for gadgets.

At the same time, 13% of children hope to receive a pet as a gift, but only 3% will receive it. The same tendency is with computer games and consoles, which 17% of children would receive, but only 9% of parents will buy them.

Note that a quarter of Russians are used to buying gifts only on the eve of the holiday. Most people try to start making their holiday shopping in advance, believing that this is less likely to be faced with queues and seasonally inflated prices.
