The Kansk court sentenced 16-year-old Nikita Uvarov (pictured) to five years in prison, who allegedly planned a "terrorist attack" - to blow up the FSB building - in the Minecraft computer game.

The visiting commission of the Eastern District Military Court found him guilty for preparing to blow up the FSB building in Minecraft. Two other defendants in the case were released from criminal liability under one of the articles as having assisted the investigation.

In addition, Uvarov will have to pay a fine of 30 thousand rubles.

The state prosecutor asked for all three from 6.5 to nine years in prison and imposed a fine of 50 thousand rubles on them.

In the summer of 2020, FSB officers accused three 14-year-old students of the Kansk school in the creation of a terrorist community. Evidence in the case was the correspondence in the chat, where the teenagers jokingly discussed the "explosion" of the FSB building in the game. At that time, they became the youngest defendants in terrorism cases.

Later, the charge of creating a terrorist community was dropped. "due to the absence in the actions of all three of the corpus delicti." However, they were left with charges under the articles “Training for carrying out terrorist attacks” and “Illegal manufacturing and possession of explosive devices”, since the security forces saw instructions for making flash-bang grenades and calls for partisanship in the correspondence. Until August last year, the teenagers were under arrest in the isolation ward.

Nikita Uvarov made his last speech on February 7th.

- I was hurt by the fact that in my country people are being repressed, civil activists who wish the country well and stand up for its well-being. Now, unfortunately, I have experienced the despotism of unscrupulous employees of the system, - Novaya Gazeta quotes the words of the accused.

He also spoke about the pressure on himself and on his relatives from the side of the security forces. According to the teenager, he was threatened with the use of physical force. At the same time, the young man assured that he tried to explain both the words in the correspondence and the videos, but “phrases were attributed to him in the explanation.”

The pressure on him continued in the pre-trial detention center, during his stay in which the teenager's eyesight worsened, problems with memory and weight began.

- I realized that the prison does not correct people, does not protect them from relapse. It can simply completely spoil a person, - said the student.

Moreover, he pointed out that some of the personal correspondence with the main witness in the case was simply made up.

“I never wrote to P. that I was planning and preparing to blow up someone, because I did not plan anything and did not prepare anyone,” said Uvarov.

At the same time, he added that he would serve a real term “with honor and dignity”, if one is eventually appointed.

- I will be calm, because I never taught my friends bad things, I was not their leader, we were on an equal footing and were just friends. I didn't denounce anyone. I am not ashamed in front of people, relatives and strangers, who know about our history. Let someone believe not me, but law enforcement agencies, I have nothing to be ashamed of. I was not going to blow up anyone, - said the young man.

The Human Rights Center "Memorial*" included all three teenagers in the list of victims of political repression.

In the meantime, monuments to executioners are being erected in Russia. So, in Novosibirsk, a bust was opened to the Prosecutor General of the USSR Roman Rudenko, a member of the "special troika" of the NKVD, who participated in the mass Stalinist repressions. The opening of the monument was attended by the mayor of Novosibirsk Anatoly Lokot and the governor of the region Andrey Travnikov. The creators of the bust were also present: sculptor Pavel Markov and architect Maxim Salakhov. Guests of the event laid flowers at the monument. Recall that Rudenko not only sentenced people to death, but also personally participated in executions.

Moreover, Russian television praises terrorists, despite the fact that they are recognized as such by law. This is a propaganda channel run by Margarita Simonyan. Summing up the results of 2021, Russia Today named the Taliban * "handsome of the year."
