Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the capital, which is "at the foot of the peak" of the coronavirus epidemic, has to "prepare for the serious trials." True, the Mayor did not specify and list in detail the impending troubles and problems. And this is correct: no one knows what can happen in a week ...

The Mayor said this in an interview for RIA Novosti.

- You know, forecasts are a thankless task, especially in such an environment as talking about a pandemic and the spread of the virus and so on. Many scientists, many infectious disease specialists - many forecasts of various kinds. Therefore, the best forecast for us for 100% is all that we can do today is what we must do”, - said the Mayor of Moscow.

He clarified that we are talking about mass testing, maximum preparation of the medical system and maximum control over compliance with the regime of self-isolation and quarantine. Sobyanin is confident in the need to minimize all movements within the city. We've to recall that starting from today severe fines have been introduced in the city for warriors who violated the regime of self-isolation.

- Well, you can predict something. The only thing I will say is that we are all facing a serious test, and we need to prepare for this”, - stated the Mayor.

He also recall that it is too early to talk about the peak incidence in Moscow.

“I tell you for sure that no peak has yet arrived, we are more likely at the foot of this peak, not even in the middle,” said Sergei Sobyanin.

Note that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the signed agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the government of the capital on the compilation of protocols for administrative violations. Now the police is empowered to write fines for violating the introduced high-alert regime for all citizens.

The Social Monitoring system, which controls patients with coronavirus, has been operating in the capital since April 3.

In total, 6698 infected with coronavirus were detected in Moscow. 38 city dwellers died of illness. 313 patients recovered and were discharged from medical facilities.
