Suppliers of rice and sunflower oil increased prices by 50%

However, residents of the regions complain about the increase in prices in grocery stores for certain categories of goods. Owners of chain stores deny rising prices on the shelves, claiming that they made zero margins on some categories of goods. Residents of such relief did not feel. Rosstat confirmed an increase in prices in March by an average of 10%.

“In March and early April, we began to receive notifications from suppliers of price increases for most categories of goods. Prices for canned food increased by almost 15%, for flour - by 12.4%, for pasta - by 9%, for milk, apples and salt - by 7%. The prices for rice and sunflower oil increased the most - up to 50%, ” TASS writes referring to the representative of the X5 Retail Group (supermarkets Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel).

According to a representative of federal networks, with an increase in the purchase price by an average of 10-20%, the cost of food on the shelves for the buyer has not changed. Previously, the company even applied to the FAS to approve a zero mark-up on a number of socially significant goods. According to the network, food prices increased by an average of 1%. Russians have a different opinion on this. Outraged comments of people are spread on the Internet, dissatisfied with the price of lemons in Pyaterochka at a price of over 400 rubles per kilogram. “The prices for lemons in Pyaterochka show multidirectional dynamics: for two weeks, lemons from Uzbekistan, for example, have fallen in price by almost 11%. Other products in this category rise in price following the increase in purchase prices. The minimum price for lemons by weight now is about 260 rubles, ”said a company representative.
