Moscow metro driver applied the brakes on time and rescued a child who fell on the rails

The Moscow Department of Transport reported that the child fell on the rails at the Babushkinskaya station in the northern part of the capital. "The train driver reacted with lightning speed and stopped the train", - the press release says.
He then also quickly cut off the voltage from the contact rail and pulled the child onto the platform.
The details of the incident are being specified, the movement of trains on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line of the Moscow metro quickly returned to normal schedule, - reports the Interfax agency. The Moscow Department of Transport promised to reccomend the driver for the award.
Today, January 11, there was also a failure on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow metro. According to the press service of the Moscow metro, the increase in train intervals was associated with the checking the infrastructure, - RBC reports.
