Media: Macron in the Kremlin was put at a 4-meter table because of his refusal to take a PCR-test

As the interlocutors of the agency pointed out, if Macron had passed the test, the distance could have been reduced and, moreover, they could have shaken hands with Putin, but the French leader’s security service was against it.

- We could not accept the fact that Russia would get its hands on the president's DNA, - said in the service.

The talks between the leaders of the two countries took place on February 8. They lasted over five hours. The meeting discussed the escalation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, security issues in Europe, NATO policy. After meeting with Putin, Macron flew to Kiev for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Macron, the main goal of the negotiations was achieved, and his visit to Moscow prevented a further escalation of the situation around Ukraine.
