Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin (pictured) announced on his website that the regime of self-isolation in the capital has been strengthened. According to him, such measures are necessary due to the fact that the number of infected with the dangerous coronavirus COVID-19 and the number of deaths from it began to grow.

In his address to the Muscovites, Sergei Sobyanin asked them to take him very seriously. According to him, during the restrictions in Moscow that have been in force for several weeks, millions of citizens had to reduse from the usual way of life and the established rhythm of life, and this is extremely difficult.

“The closure of educational institutions has limited the movement of two million people,” - it is said in the statement. “The 14-day quarantine for visitors from abroad and their households affected 300 thousand residents. The self-isolation of elderly and chronically sick Muscovites added two million people who were transferred to home mode, vacation and forced downtime of a number of enterprises - another two million people. Transfer to remote work - about the same number of Muscovites who have to stay at home. Total - about 75% of the city’s residents Useful unable to move freely in Moscow. In view of the inhabitants of Moscow to work continue to drive nearly three million people. According to experts, the level of social separation was best to slow down the spread of infection. "

The mayor noted that at the same time, the authorities tried to preserve the economy, not create unemployment in Moscow and neighboring regions, and save enterprises from ruin. However, this week the situation with the spread of coronavirus began to worsen, a rapid increase in the number of severe patients with pneumonia began - before, up to 500 people were admitted to hospitals daily, now about 1,300 people. At the same time, the diagnosis of coronavirus infection is not immediately detected, sometimes tests do not show its presence, but according to the clinical picture and radiation diagnosis, doctors see that, with a high degree of probability, this is she.

Sergei Sobyanin noted that in the coming days and weeks Muscovites will face severe trials and called for patience and courage to be as responsive as possible in observing the established rules and restrictions.

Despite the fact that 25 Moscow hospitals have already been redeveloped for the treatment of patients with coronavirus and so many will be redeveloped in the coming days, additional hospital facilities will be organized, including those based on clinics. Coronavirus testing will be expanded. But the most important thing is temporarily, while for a week, but with the possible extension of this period, the work of most city organizations will be limited or completely terminated.

“Only continuous-cycle enterprises that are vital to the functioning of the city, as well as medical organizations, authorities, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, communications and transport enterprises, the media will continue to work. However, they should transfer their employees to remote mode as much as possible,” Sergey said Sobyanin.

"Access to the city is an unavoidable additional inconvenience. But when it comes to the health and life of a huge number of people, there is no choice. Especially when we see that, unfortunately, not everyone respects the established restrictions. Next week we will gradually introduce access control, "said the mayor of Moscow.

According to him, the first thing the pass will be issued for travel to work, then - for travel for other purposes, and only at the last stage, if necessary, for movement within the area. At the same time, the access system will be declarative in nature, although the city authorities have the right to verify the accuracy of the information provided.

From April 13 to 19, almost all enterprises and organizations will be temporarily suspended in Moscow, except for government bodies, medical organizations, food and medical industries, manufacturers of personal protective equipment, key enterprises in the defense industry, the space industry, the nuclear industry, and critically important infrastructure for the city. The work of shops selling food and essential goods will continue. However, even these enterprises should reduce to the maximum the personnel present at workplaces, transfer a part of employees to remote work or to a non-working week.

In Moscow, all construction and repair work will be suspended except for the construction of medical facilities, as well as continuous cycle works in the construction and maintenance of the subway, railway, ground public transport and airports. Car sharing is suspended, the provision of medical services by organizations and individual entrepreneurs, for which this type of activity is not the main one. In particular, beauty salons will not work. The city will introduce a temporary regime for the execution of the city budget, during which any purchases are suspended, except for those that are urgent. Otherwise, according to Sergei Sobyanin, a turning point in the fight against the spread of coronavirus will not be possible.

The number of employees at Moscow enterprises will be reduced from three million to 300 thousand from April 13 to 19, Vladimir Efimov, deputy mayor for economic policy and property and land relations, told RIA Novosti.
