The number of Rosguard outfits that patrol the streets in the Russian capital has been increased for preventive work after tightening restrictive measures due to coronavirus. Patrolmen will find out from people the reason for leaving the house and check the documents.

As explained by TASS in the press service of the Moscow Rosguard, in particular, "the number of extra-departmental security and riot police units that serve in collaboration with police officers has been increased."

As capital mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the website’s website the night before, self-isolation regime will be strengthened in Moscow. According to him, such measures are necessary due to the fact that the number of coronavirus infected and dead from it began to grow rapidly.

According to Sobyanin, the strengthening of restrictive and access control measures will occur in stages. First, passes will be issued for trips to work, then for trips for other purposes, and only at the last stage, if necessary, for movement within the area. At the same time, the access system will be declarative in nature, although the city authorities have the right to verify the accuracy of the information provided.

From April 13-19, Moscow will temporarily suspend the work of almost all enterprises and organizations, except state authorities, medical organizations, food and medical industries, manufacturers of personal protective equipment, key enterprises of the defense industry, the space industry, the nuclear industry and the city’s critical infrastructure.

Also in Moscow, all construction and repair work will be suspended except for the construction of medical facilities, as well as continuous cycle works in the construction and maintenance of the subway, railway, ground public transport and airports.

The car-sharing work, the provision of medical services by organizations and individual entrepreneurs, for which this type of activity is not the main one, is temporarily suspended. In particular, beauty salons will not work. The city will introduce a temporary regime for the execution of the city budget, during which any purchases are suspended, except for those that are urgent.

The work of shops selling food and essential goods will continue.

Over the past day, the number of patients with coronavirus in Russia increased by 1667 people, most of them were in Moscow - 1030 people.
