Denis Protsenko arrived in Dagestan to help to fight against the pandemic
The head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasiliyev at the Makhachkala airport met a group of doctors led by Denis Protsenko, who arrived in the republic to help fight the spread of coronavirus.
- The team consist of highly qualified medical staff from the leading Moscow hospitals. The team of doctors is headed by the head physician of the City Clinical Hospital No. 40 (medical center in Kommunarka) Protsenko, - Interfax quoted the words of the representative of the Information Policy Department of Dagestan.
The group includes infectious disease specialists, a radiologist, a therapist, and an anesthetist. Doctors brought with them a batch of drugs. According to Denis Protsenko, doctors who arrived in the republic treat patients with coronavirus infection starting on February 29.
“They have already treated more than three thousand patients. We have all the technologies built. Our team came to share the experience and continue to help”, - Protsenko said.
Vasiliyev noted the importance of the arrival of highly qualified doctors.
"You have a great and invaluable experience. We saw, worried about you, and, of course, you can provide invaluable advice, give advice, help our specialists. Tomorrow we will see off the previous team, wonderful specialists. By the way, we are very pleased, and we are very proud that they highly appreciate our doctors, their professionalism, skills and knowledge. But what you did in this fight, you were the first. This cannot be replaced with anything”, - the head of the republic said.
Let us recall that the situation with the spread of COVID-19 in Dagestan was one of the most difficult in Russia. In late May, military doctors were sent to the republic and two field multifunctional hospitals were deployed. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his concerns regarding the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in the republic.
To date, 6,175 cases of the disease have been registered in the territory of Dagestan, which is on the 7th place in the distribution of COVID-19. 309 people died from the disease.
