112 citizens of Russia and CIS countries evacuated from the Gaza Strip

This is the fifth evacuation of Russians from Gaza.

According to the Russian Embassy in Egypt, this time the Emergencies Ministry evacuated 112 citizens of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries to Moscow.

"On the night of June 11, the evacuees flew to Moscow from the Cairo airport, where two planes of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia arrived for them", - the diplomatic mission clarified and thanked the Egyptian authorities for their help and ensuring an expedited border crossing and safety on the way.

Earlier, on May 26, 64 Russian citizens were evacuated through Egypt. They crossed the border through the "Rafah" border crossing, where they were met by diplomats. After that, the Russians were taken to Cairo.

It's worth reminding that in connection with the sharp deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry, together with the SVR and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, to determine the timing of the evacuation of citizens who are in the Gaza Strip and who want to leave it.
