The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications (Minkomsvyaz) has released an application for issuing electronic passes, which have now been introduced in a number of regions in connection with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

It is available on the App Store and Play Market, but many users are unhappy with its quality.

The application is called "Government Services STOP Coronavirus", thebell.io reports. It gives out QR codes to exit the house during the "period of self-isolation." At the same time, the application’s official release was not announced, and the search on the Gosuslug website does not detect it either.

It is still unclear how the authorities are going to use such an application - in Moscow, the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, announced the issuance of passes for travel by car and public transport from tomorrow through the city hall website.

According to the Kommersant newspaper, the app has 282 reviews in the AppStore, but their average score is only 1.4 out of 5. Most of the reviews are negative - users don’t like not only the restrictions on freedom of movement, but also the quality of the application itself: people fail log in there.

The application first polls users whether they have been abroad in the last two weeks, whether they have had contact with patients with the coronavirus, whether they are ill and where they are being treated, whether they go to work and so on. Then the application asks to fill out a questionnaire (last name, first name and patronymic, date of birth, gender, citizenship, registration address and actual residence), asks for a selfie and offers to name the purpose of leaving the house.
