Belgorod residents are offered to enroll in a voluntary people's squad to patrol the streets in the evening and at night and help the police in maintaining law and order.

According to the mayor's office, any person over 18 years of age who has no criminal record and medical contraindications can join such a squad.

Before that, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, ordered the organization of patrols of the territories bordering Ukraine. He pointed out that patrols should be carried out by voluntary squads. Their participants in 47 border villages will have to check empty premises, prevent violations of public order, and also carry out other measures to ensure the safety of the population.
