The growth rate of the number of people infected with coroanvirus in Russia is stabilizing, said a spokeswoman for the World Health Organization (WHO) Melita Vujnovich. She considered “very reasonable” the decision of Moscow authorities to extend the restrictive measures.

There is hope that Russia has reached the plateau of the incidence of coronavirus, given the data of the last few days, told Vujnović Bloomberg

However, the representative of WHO noted that the speed of the epidemic would depend on human behavior.

"We cannot clearly say how people will behave... We must be very careful, there remains a requirement for the physical distance of people and the rapid hospitalization of all infected. The virus hasn’t gone anywhere, they just managed to detain it a bit, not even control it”, - she stated on the air of the Russia-1 television channel.

The actions of the Moscow authorities, which extended the restrictive measures until mid-May, Vuinovich called "very reasonable." She added that the Russian government should wait until the number of new infections decreases for two consecutive weeks, and then relax the restrictions.

We recall that most restrictions on coronavirus in Moscow were extended until May 31. In addition, from today on, a mask mode has been introduced in the capital - for leaving the house without gloves and city masks they will be fined.

In Russia, 232,243 cases of infection with a new coronavirus infection were detected. 121 301 cases were recorded in Moscow.
