Roshal drew the president's attention to the case of doctors who are put under the trial for the murder of a newborn

- I have to perform the medical community's request and say that you need to take a very close look at what is happening in Kaliningrad, where two doctors are on trial for murder, - Interfax leads the words of Roshal told at the ceremony of presentation of the medal Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation by the president.

Roshal emphasized that “this has not happened in Russia since 1953”.

“I do not want to put pressure on the court, but I want to say that I am ready to speak there and explain why this is all wrong”, - said Roshal.

This is a monstrous case of the death of a newborn child in 2018. The baby, born on November 6, needed a drug for survival - the Kurosoyt medicine, which reduces the complication of respiratory diseases. It costs 24 thousand rubles and is not scarce. However, the acting chief doctor Elena Belaya, forbade giving the drug to the baby, explaining her decision with the high cost of the medicine. When the baby died, she demanded that her subordinates fake the notes, as if the baby was already dead.

According to investigators, Belaya decided to "kill the newborn" for which she attracted a neonatologist Elina Sushkevich, who is now accused of murdering a minor by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. Both are under the house arrest.

The formation of the jury in a closed court session will be continued on July 2.
