There is no money, but you burn in there: the coronavirus turned back to zero the fight against fires

Money will not be paid to any of those "who will burn out", issued a "verdict" Osipov, writes Chita.ru.

- This year, due to coronavirus and shock at oil prices, budget revenues of both Russia and the Trans-Baikal Territory have drastically decreased. Therefore, for everyone who burns down, taking into account the fact that no one is almost insured, there will be no money! This should be understood by the regional and administrative leaders, by the heads of farms and by owners. If there are any serious fires or even special cases, there is a rule that we bypassed by the presidential decree last year that compensation is paid only to those who are insured. This year it will not be possible to do this, - the edition quotes the words of the governor.

Osipov noted that there is no time for the regional authorities to get involved into the situations with fires. He instructed the heads of districts to share this information with the citizens.

“This year we have a very difficult situation, and because of the coronavirus we have no time to deal with the cases of fires,” - said the regional head.

There are 14 cases of coronavirus infection detected in the region.

We have to recall that last year in April fires destroyed more than 100 residential buildings and about two hundred outbuildings in Transbaikalia. There were destroyed 123 cattle farms with a livestock of more than 11 thousand animals. Farmers lost property worth 820 million rubles. The region became the first in the country in terms of fire area.

Osipov previously announced a ban on the retail sale of alcohol in the territory until the end of the self-isolation regime. While in a number of regions the sale of alcohol was limited to individual hours, in the Trans-Baikal Territory a total “dry law” was announced.
