Russians' spending on package tours during the May holidays increased by almost 10 times

The largest volume of expenditures was recorded in Moscow and the Moscow Region, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories. Moreover, in the segment of air tickets, the leaders were the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Kabardino-Balkaria, Moscow and the Moscow Region. The average check was 17.5 thousand rubles. In general, spending on air tickets during the May holidays in 2021 increased by 986% compared to the same period last year, and the volume of purchases increased by 386%.

The cost of booking hotels increased by 809% in relation to the May holidays of 2020 and by 11% in the last 10 days of April this year. The average check exceeded 11.7 thousand rubles.

There has also been an increase in demand for cultural events. The turnover in this category has grown 16 times, and the number of purchases - 2 times compared to the same period in 2019. Here, the leading regions in terms of spending are Moscow, Voronezh and Kaliningrad regions.
