The Khabarovsk Territory Government appealed to the residents after two days of their protests

“But now, two days later, we are seeing a dangerous trend”. Among the participants in the rallies there were people who are trying to provoke unrest. Some simply have their “blood pumpimg”, while the others may really get the profit from protesting. This is how the non-systemic opposition and bloggers are gaining points, whose number of subscribers is growing due to bright content, the regional government said in a statement.

Khabarovsk residents and residents of the region were called on “not to allow themselves to be used”, to prevent mass riots and other violations of the law.

- Every day in the Khabarovsk Territory, about 100 cases of coronavirus infection are recorded. Almost every day, our fellow countrymen die from this disease. Large crowds are one of the main foci of the spread of infection. Young people who have gone to the shares may suffer the disease “on their feet,” but it can easily infect their elderly relatives and friends, the governor and the regional government added to the press service.

Recall that several spontaneous actions in support of the current governor Sergei Furgal took place in Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, where the Amurstal plant, northern Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, Bikin, Elban and other cities are located. People took to the streets with the slogans “Return Furgal”, “Freedom to Sergey Furgal”, “Furgal is our choice”.

The march in support of Furgal was compared with the march of the Immortal Regiment. A video of what was happening on the Khabarovsk streets, tagged #furhal regiment, is distributed on social networks.

On July 9, Sergei Furgal was detained on suspicion of organizing two murders and attempted murder. Later, the head of the region was arrested. Khabarovsk residents and residents of the region demand that Sergey Furgal be returned from Moscow to Khabarovsk and hold a trial in the regional capital. Protesters chant: "Moscow, bring Furgal back!"
