"Dozhd" TV channel appealed to the Investigative Committee in connection with threats to Anna Mongait

Let us remind you that the interview was aired on Dozhd TV on July 8th. Mongait's interlocutors were female models who starred for the cover of the Russian version of Elle magazine. The journalist began to receive threats after the Instagram accounts of Mongait and the models were posted on the Telegram channel "Male State" (Muzhskoye Gosudarstvo).

Unknown persons promised to stab the Mongait children for "interviews with homosexuals". They demanded to apologize and promised "gifts at night through the window", advised "to walk and look around." Messages were accompanied by the words "MG" ("Muzhskoye Gosudarstvo").

Earlier, the "Male State" threatened the organizers and participants of the "Chain of Solidarity", the artist Daria Serenko received about 600 threats.

It's worth reminding that recently two scandals have flared up around the advertisement of "VkusVilla" with a family, in which there was also a same-sex couple. At first, opponents of LGBT people expressed outrage at the published advertising post, and when the company decided to replace the advertisement with a photo with a traditional family with three children and apologize for the previous one, an even stronger wave of anger fell on it - both from the LGBT community and others citizens.
