Due to poor garbage collection rats have bred in St. Petersburg

Last year, Rospotrebnadzor received 338 complaints from citizens about the presence of rats, 1078 about poor handling. Moreover, in the first quarter of this year, the number of such applications increased. In three months, the agency received 140 complaints about rodents, 619 about improper sanitization, which accounted for 36% and 37% of all complaints filed last year.

To date, single infections with pseudotuberculosis, intestinal yersiniosis, leptospirosis and other diseases that rats carry have already begun to be detected in the city. Rospotrebnadzor appealed to the government about the need to comply with sanitary measures. Smolny will report on the work done on June 1 and December 29.
