The rapid deterioration of the condition of patients with coronavirus is striking, admitted the main supernumerary infectious disease specialist in the Presidential Administration of Russia, the head of the center for infectious diseases Georgy Saponov.

- The rate of transition from mild to a moderate and severe forms of the disease is very fast. If in the morning the patient still feels more or less normal, then in the evening he may end up in a resuscitation bed, - Saponov told RIA Novosti.

He noted that most doctors are not ready for such a rapid change in the condition of patients. "The swiftness is amazing!" - added the infectious disease specialist. He emphasized that it is important to constantly monitor the patient.

Earlier, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko warned of “deceit” in changing his course, and patients may experience repeated symptoms amid an improvement in their condition.

We recall that the professor of pathophysiology of the First Moscow State Sechenov Medical University Anton Ershov spoke about the features of the formation of immunity of the patients with coronavirus infection. According to the expert, if the disease proceeded in severe or mild forms, the body cannot produce antibodies, and immunity is not formed. But if the disease proceeded in a medium form, and when the patient was treated there was no excessive use of medicines, in this case a stable immunity should be formed.

To date, more than 4.1 million cases of infection with a new coronavirus infection have been recorded in the world. In Russia, more than 242 thousand cases of COVID-19 have been identified.
