Russian schools will begin to work in a new mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. The class schedule will be changed, and students of different classes won't communicate during the breaks.

According to the new recommendations of Rospotrebnador (The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), each class will be assigned a separate classroom, in which the whole school day will be held. The necessary conditions will be created in educational institutions in order to minimize the possibility of contact between students of different classes.

- Exclude the communication of students and pupils from different classes (groups) during breaks and during walks. Review the organization’s working hours, including the schedule of training sessions, by changing the start time of the first lesson (class) for different classes and the time of the change, in order to maximize the separation of classes (groups), the recommendations say.

Also, students from different classes will not be together in the extension. In addition, Rospotrebnadzor recommends "as far as possible to reduce the number of students and pupils in the classroom." How this should be implemented, the agency does not specify.

Anyone who attends school — students, staff, and parents — will be measured at the inlet temperature. Dispensers with antiseptics for hands will be installed there. It is recommended to carry out disinfection of premises during breaks and after the end of the school day.

Mass events will be canceled, but students will be allowed to spend more time in the fresh air.

Also, compliance with the rules of personal hygiene should be ensured by both students and staff.

Recall that earlier the Ministry of Education decided to reschedule the unified state exam (USE). The exact date has not yet been determined. However, it is known that ninth-graders will be allowed to not pass the Unified State Examination in the Russian language and mathematics. Grades will be given based on the results of the current academic performance for the entire academic year.

Prior to this, the final control for primary school students has already been postponed to the next school year in connection with the spread of coronavirus.

In Russia to date, 242,271 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified. 10,028 patients recovered. 2,221 deaths were recorded.
