The largest manufacturing, trading and transport companies sent a letter to First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov with a request to obtain a moratorium on the indexation of the Platon system tariff next year.

As Vedomosti writes , referring to a copy of the document, it was signed by the heads of the Association of International Road Carriers, the National Union of Experts in the Field of Transport and Logistics (SEL), the Russian Motor Transport Union, the National Meat Association, the Union of Juice, Water and Beverage Producers, the National Union of Producers milk (Soyuzmoloko), the Association of Internet Trade Companies, the Association of Producers and Suppliers of Foodstuffs Rusprodsoyuz, the Russian Grain Union and NP Rusbrand.

If the tariff is frozen, it will be possible to reduce the excess load and the negative impact on business. In addition, this will serve to implement plans for the modernization of the Russian road complex. The authors of the appeal emphasize: the rapid growth of the costs of entrepreneurs will collapse the proceeds and lead to bankruptcies. additional costs will be reflected in the cost of the cost of transporting goods, as a result, the final product will become more expensive.

In March, we recall, Rusprodsoyuz, which unites over 400 food producers and suppliers and protects their rights, asked the government to abolish the fee for the use of road infrastructure, including the Platon system.

"Platon" (short for "toll fee") is a system for charging trucks with a maximum weight of more than 12 tons. It was launched in November 2015. From that moment on, carriers are charged with compensation for damage caused to federal roads.
