Russian President Vladimir Putin is forced to go into self-isolation. This is due to the identified cases of coronavirus in his environment. Putin announced his quarantine during a conversation with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

As stated on the website of the Kremlin, this week, Russian President will take part in the planned activities by videoconference. In particular, we are talking about a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Dushanbe and a joint meeting of the heads of the CSTO and SCO member states.

On the eve, Putin announced a possible quarantine. “A lot of people are sick around”, - he said. Later, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that he expressed himself figuratively. It is known that Putin was vaccinated with Sputnik V.

According to Peskov, Putin passed the coronavirus test - the president is "absolutely healthy". At the same time, the spokesman noted that the head of state had contact with several patients with coronavirus. It is known who they are, but their names have not been specified. Peskov called it "normal practice" when a contact person leaves for self-isolation.

Isolation - it does not directly affect the work of the president, but just now there will be no face-to-face events for some time. But, again, this does not affect the intensity: the president continues his activities in the videoconference mode", - Interfax quotes Peskov as saying.
