Personal experience: how the Pension Fund appropriated the money of a deceased pensioner

The Rostov branch of the Russian Pension Fund disannulled the pension of a person who was admitted to the hospital eight months earlier.

Oleg Makarenko published a desperate letter from his comrade about how the Pension Fund treated his lonely retired father who lives in Rostov-on-Don and was hospitalized.

In 2019, his son came to look after him and tried to get a pension for him. It turned out to be impossible! An official from the city's Proletarsky district department assured him that his father's pension would not go anywhere, and as soon as he left the clinic, he would receive everything in full. But in the summer, in June 2020, the father died of the coronavirus, and the son, having entered the inheritance rights after six months, made a request through a notary to return his father's money to him.

In response, he received amazing calculations: it turned out that the officials decided to save money and did not credit their pension (about 20 thousand rubles a month) for eight months: from November 2019 to June 2020, which amounts to more than 160 thousand rubles! We will not give it up, they say, since the pensioner himself did not apply for it...

“Isn't this a shameless swindle”, - Makarenko comments on the response of the Pension Fund, “if a sick person simply physically could not do it ?! It is unnecessary to explain that now, when the money has “gone somewhere,” it will not work to file the words of the nameless clerk who deceived my friend in 2019. As a result, the bill for the services of a private clinic - treatment in which cost much more than 20 thousand a month - will cut a particularly large hole in the family budget..."

Makarenko asks a logical question: does the Pension Fund really have the legal right to rob pensioners who do not have the physical strength to carry out bureaucratic procedures?
