Doctors took out more than a hundred self-tapping screws from the prisoner's stomach

The patient was taken to a medical facility from the colony. He swallowed the screws “for self-mutilation,” the hospital says on Instagram.

- Surgeons B. Akhmetov, J. Kabdrashitov, R. Smailov and anesthetists: L. Ashimova, I. Khairova, performed laparotomy, removal of foreign bodies from the stomach, revision and rehabilitation of the abdominal cavity. Foreign metal objects weighing more than 800 grams in the amount of 112 pieces were recovered, it was reported.

The photographs that the doctors published in the post show that the extracted items are self-tapping.

After the operation, the patient was returned to the colony.

Earlier it was reported that surgeons from the city of Nizhnekamsk operated on a five-year-old girl and extracted a meter-long hair clot with an oar of 300 grams from her stomach.

Earlier in Buryatia, doctors took out 150 nails and pieces of reinforcement from the stomach of a pensioner.
