Pass checks in Moscow provoked the traffic jams

Starting from today drivers are to be fined for the lack of a permit issued for movement in Moscow and the Moscow Region. Such passes are an additional measure in the context of the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

You can get a digital document on mos.ru portal - for trips to work or for a one-time trip. Those who are on the road without a permit will pay a fine of five thousand rubles. Passes are needed for drivers of personal and company cars, as well as passengers of public transport. Children do not need to write out a separate pass. Recall also that children under 14 cannot be taken to Moscow streets without adult accompaniment.

Note that traffic jams are not the first inconvenience associated with the introduction of a new permit regime in Moscow. On the very first day of the start of the service for issuing digital passes, the site of the Moscow City Hall was attacked by hackers, as reported in the metropolitan department of information technology. They tried to “stubbornly break” the portal, including from abroad, announced at the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus.

After the service became available again, and Muscovites got the opportunity to get passes and go with them to the city, it turned out that about 900 thousand documents were filled out incorrectly - the names, information about the employer, passport details and TIN are incorrectly indicated. Gaps with false information were canceled, and Muscovites were warned of being held administratively liable for such violations.
