Opposition politician Alexey Navalny posted the first photo on the social network Instagram since August 20, when he suddenly became ill on board a plane flying from Tomsk to Moscow. After that, he fell into a prolonged coma and was taken to Germany for treatment. It is now known that he can already get out of bed.

"Hi, it's Navalny. I miss you. I still can do almost nothing, but yesterday I was able to breathe all day by myself. In general, by myself. No outside help, even the simplest valve in the throat did not use. I really liked it. An amazing process underestimated by many. I recommend", - the politician wrote on his Instagram..

After Alexey Navalny lost consciousness on board the plane, the pilots urgently landed in Omsk, the politician spent two days in a local hospital. Local doctors and the Russian authorities assured him that he had no signs of poisoning. Meanwhile, their German colleagues and the German authorities announced that the politician had been poisoned with a chemical warfare agent of the Novichok family. Employees of independent laboratories in France and Sweden came to similar conclusions. French President Emmanuel Macron held telephone conversations with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. He told him the results of research in a French laboratory. Emmanuel Macron called the incident with Alexey Navalny an "attempted murder" and suggested that Vladimir Putin "immediately shed light" on what had happened.

Doctors Alexey Navalny was brought out of a coma only on September 7, but his breathing was supported by artificial means for several more days. The Russian side notes that there is still little data to initiate a criminal case on the fact of the incident, the Kommersant newspaper notes.

According to Konstantin Balonov , anesthesiologist-resuscitator at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Alexey Navalny is recovering quickly due to his relatively young age and good physical shape. But he will still stay in the hospital for several more weeks: first in intensive care, and then in the general ward.
