The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, will not dismiss the regional minister of culture Arina Novoselskaya (pictured) for obscenities during an online meeting.

“No, for these reasons we will definitely not fire her”, - he commented the situation to RIA Novosti. The head of the region added that the words of the Minister of Culture did not affect the state interests or anyone's feelings, so there are no grounds for dismissal.

Aksyonov noted that he himself can sometimes use a "strong word", however, in his opinion, the use of these words by the Minister of Culture is very bad. “If the meeting was on housing and communal services or on construction, it would still be possible to understand, because without this, construction does not go on”, - he said.

We will remind, Novoselskaya obscenely outraged the work of her assistants during the speech of the head of the region on March 11. The Minister of Culture did not notice that her microphone was on at that time. The meeting was held online via video link. After the incident, she apologized for her rude words.

Novoselskaya has been serving as Minister of Culture since February 2014. She graduated from the Donetsk State Conservatory, defended her Ph.D. thesis in pedagogy. She worked as a teacher in music schools and a college, headed the Crimean Puppet Theater.

Earlier, a similar precedent took place in the Kostroma region. Oleg Lebedev, the deputy governor of the region, swore at Matom. He was not dismissed from his post after the incident, but he was fined 15 minimum wages (the minimum wage).
